Data sources & methodology

How the List is compiled, what it contains, and how often it changes.
Where the data comes from
- Public brokerage agent directories. Names, brokerage, office name and address, and business email and phone numbers, as published by the brokerages themselves on their public "find an agent" pages.
We do not buy data from consumer data brokers, and we do not include personal home addresses or personal social media.

How records are placed in boroughs
Each record is assigned to a borough by the ZIP code of its office address (New York County = Manhattan, Kings = Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx and Richmond = other boroughs). Records whose public profile lists an NYC market and NYC phone number but no street address are included in the total with the borough marked "Not listed".
Refresh cadence and removals
We rebuild the List every quarter. Each rebuild adds new agents, drops people who no longer appear in the sources, de-duplicates, and applies every removal request we have received.
