1. Visitors and customers
What we collect
- Details you give us: name, email, company and messages (sample requests, contact and removal forms).
- Order details from Stripe: name, email, billing address, what you bought and when, and your acceptance of our terms. Stripe processes card data; we never see full card numbers.
- Basic server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, download events) for security and fraud prevention.
How we use it
To deliver the List and quarterly updates, send receipts, renewal reminders and service notices, answer requests, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. If you request a sample, we may email you about the List; every email has an unsubscribe link.
Who we share it with
Service providers that run the site for us: Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting) and Resend (email). We do not sell visitor or customer information.
2. People included in the List
The List contains business contact information for licensed real estate agents and brokers working in New York City: name, brokerage, office name and address, business email and phone. It is compiled from publicly available professional sources described on our Data Sources page. We do not include home addresses, Social Security numbers, financial or health information.
We sell the List to businesses that want to contact real estate professionals. Buyers must agree to our License & Acceptable Use Policy, including honoring opt-outs.
Your choices
You can ask us to remove you from future versions of the List, to stop selling your information, or to tell you what we hold about you, using the Remove my info form or through our contact form (or write to info [at] nycbrokerlist.com). We apply removals to the next file we produce and keep a suppression record so you are not added back.
3. Retention and security
We keep order records as long as needed for tax and accounting, and suppression records indefinitely so removals stick. We use reasonable safeguards: the full List is never stored at a public URL, and download links are signed and expire.
4. State privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, delete or opt out of the sale of your personal information. We honor these requests from anyone, regardless of state. Some states require data brokers to register; see our Data Sources page for our status.
